Tereza Menšíková and Jana Kendíková received the Dean's award
Tereza and Jana were recognized by the Dean's award for their PhD and BA theses.
The Jacques Derrida Prize for Social Sciences and Humanities is awarded by the Embassy of France in the Czech Republic and Michal Martinko. The goal of this competition is to award the best PhD research work in all fields of social sciences and humanities. Tereza Menšíková was awarded the second position in this prize for her innovative doctoral research on social and economic exclusion, marginality, activism, and digital media in the context of Dalit communities in India. Methodologically, Tereza Menšíková uniquely combines ethnography with computational text analysis and social network analysis to model dynamics of collective action. Sincere congratulations!
